Vicki Lackey
An Arizona and West Valley
native, Vicki Lackey has worked in state and local government for
almost thirteen years. She started her career very interested in
law, receiving her Paralegal Certification before “accidentally”
landing in Human Resources. Once in Human Resources, she realized she
could easily apply her legal training to the world of Human Resources.
She worked a total of 10 years with the Arizona Supreme Court,
Administrative Office of the Courts (five of which in Human Resources)
prior to being hired by the City of Goodyear in September of 2005.
She spent her first year with the City as a Recruitment Specialist
before becoming the City’s first Human Resources Analyst.
Vicki has been an Arizona IPMA-HR member for several years and was interested
in becoming a board member because she loves the experience and
opportunity to develop her leadership skills while serving Arizona’s
public sector human resources community.
